
The Pound Euro exchange rate held steady at €1.095 today. This follows the resignation of Italy’s Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, a coalition breakup and an ongoing political crisis for the Eurozone’s third-largest economy. Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini – a prominent Eurosceptic – was also criticised by Mr Conte, who attributed the break in the coalition to Salvini’s “personal and party interests”.
