
The pound euro exchange rate edged higher this morning, leaving the pairing fluctuating around €1.117, as the Eurozone’s struggling manufacturing sector weighed on PMI Composite data for July. The index fell closer to the 50 mark separating growth from contraction, drifting from 52.2 to 51.5.
