The pound US dollar exchange rate edged slightly higher today to trade in the region of $1.306. GBP/USD gained as Theresa May indicated that progress had been made in Brexit discussions and the Federal Open Market Committee adopted a cautious stance in the meeting minutes from the last policy gathering.
