
This morning, saw the pound buoyed against the euro on fresh reports of a rumoured extension to Article 50, before a slew of disappointing UK inflation data dampened sentiment, and the pairing is currently trading at around €1.138. January’s Consumer Price Index showed UK inflation came in at 1.8 percent, hitting a two-year low and dipping below the Bank of England’s target range.
