THE pound US dollar exchange rate is currently at around $1.314, virtually unchanged from today’s opening rate and close to yesterday’s highs. The pound is trading close to a seven-week high against the US dollar this morning after news of Donald Trump’s latest round of tariffs against China prompted a surprise fall in the US currency.
